About the Author

Brooke Dean is the rhyming, storytelling, adventure-loving author behind Bon Voyage Books—a playful publishing company with a passport full of imagination. Originally from sweet home Alabama, Brooke has spent the past 10 years teaching tiny humans (the very best kind) and currently teaches overseas in the beautiful Marshall Islands.

When she’s not wrangling sentences or lesson plans, she’s hanging out with her four-legged sidekick, Shaggy—yes, the Shaggy who stars in her delightful children’s picture books. Brooke hopes her stories bring giggles, rhymes, and a little bit of island sunshine to young readers everywhere.

This book is well written with beautiful illustrations. My kids and others of a variety of ages all enjoyed it. It's a great reminder to be creative and that you don't always have to color things (or do anything) the way others would. It's also a great reminder to us as adults to let kids be kids and just have fun.
